You will get this if your email password is wrong in accounts set-up mine is not since I can still read/send email. This time it started after I created then deleted a temp experimental email acct (eMv6)and then went back to my primary one after deleting it. Is this the symptom of the 2FA problem? This comes up every 1-2 min but I’ve been seeing it intermittently for many years. What am I doing wrong that I don’t see this Apple 2FA thing? I started seeing this 6-7 yrs ago with Outlook so switched to eM to get rid of it but it’s returned intermittently only to disappear on its own after a few days. I check emclient for Updates–none available In the Log, it has no mention at all of CalDAV or CardDAV–only syncing email messages which is not icloud I do have a very old account so I tried using the address and that did not work so switched back the original I do NOT have two factor authentication on so I cannot make an Apple app-specific password ensure all settings are correct including icloud login and password I investigated both the Community Help here and Apples Forums and nothing works.

Yesterday, on both my laptop and PC I am now getting “Server says ‘Unauthorized’” errors and they will not sync with icloud. I only use icloud for Calendar and Contacts and it has worked for many years.
